 Cadet and Junior’s Championship 2010

This notice serves to invite your Region/Province to the KSA Cadet and Junior’s Championship to take place in Uitenhage, Nelson Mandela Region on the 27-28 August 2010.

The Program of Events is as follows:

 Monday, 16 August 2010

17:00: Closing date for entries and deposit. Please return entries on the attached entry form to: wendyaj@telkomsa.net

 Friday, 20 August 2010

All entries will be posted on this web site. You are required to check entries for correctness and inform us if there are any mistakes needing to be corrected. After this date no changes will be allowed.

Cadet Divisions 14 and 15 year olds:

Kata (individual only, no Team Kata)

Boys and Girls: Age 14/15 years

Kumite : Boys

-52 kg -57 kg  -63 kg  -70 kg  +70 kg

Kumite: Girls

-47 kg -54 kg  +54 kg 

Juniors  Divisions 16 and 17 year olds:

Kata (Individual)

Boys and Girls: Age 16/17 years

Kata (Team)

Boys and Girls: Age 14/17 years

Kumite

Boys 16/17 year olds

-55 kg -61 kg  -68kg -76 kg   +76 kg

Girs 16/17 year olds

09.00 A Meeting with all team Managers & Coaches. – Briefing regarding the tournament programme and any relevant information.

09.00 Weigh in will take place at the tournament venue.

Please be advised that drawsheets will be done beforehand and any contestant whose weight is not as per division entered will be disqualified. No Concessions will be made.

09:00 – 12.00 A Referee/Judges Course and Examination will be presented. (Semi Contact)

Cost of course R100.00

Exam   R100.00

Referees who want to upgrade must also do theory exam – R100.00

Only people with National Qualifications will be allowed to officiate.

All Provinces to register their referees by Monday 12 July 2010 to Selwyn Rhoda at info@karatezen.co.za

15.00: All Individual Kata

09.30  Start of all Kumite divisions.

The following matters are extremely important:

This is a National event and therefore only officially selected Provincial/Regional teams may enter and only one team per Region!

Four (4) competitors will be allowed per Region for each division and no late entries will be accepted!

The entry fee is R150-00 per division and R150-00 per team Kata (unison) team.

It is important that Provinces /Regions supply as many Referees and Tournament Officials as possible!

Only Coaches dressed in KSA APPROVED specified attire will be allowed access into the competition area.

Before a Province/Region's entries are accepted, the full amount due must be deposited into the following bank account:

The following protective equipment is compulsory:

Masters: Head guards, blue and red mitts, foot and shin protectors and gum guards
