TO ALL KSA REGIONAL AFFILIATES

Dear Colleagues

RELOCATION OF THE COMMONWEALTH KARATE FEDERATION CHAMPIONSHIPS

Please be informed that the Commonwealth Karate Federation has decided to relocate the proposed Championships which was scheduled to take place in Chennai, India on 24-27 September 2009, to Pretoria, South Africa. The reason given in the communiqué is that the proposed venue in India is undergoing significant physical upgrade and will not be ready for the proposed date. Due to time constraints, there was a view that the championships should be cancelled for this year. Fortunately KSA was able to secure a suitable venue at Pretoria University , with the possibility of the same dates. KSA will shortly publish a communiqué with regards:

  • 1.     Details of the Championships
  • 2.     Final selection of the South African Team
  • 3.     Re-imbursement of funds deposited into the KSA Account taking into account that there will still be expenses for the SA team members

Thank you very much for your support for the India tour and I'm sure we can rely on you support for the SA event.
