An extra event was scheduled due to the unexpected participation of ages 12-14, a WKF friendly KATA tournament that took place the 4th day of the camp in the EUROPA room, covering the ages 12-14.

The event closed with the WKF World CUP in Friday, 4rth JULY 2008 in the KANITHOS Sport Hall. The competitors were separated in 8 KATA Categories (14,15,16 and 17 Years old, Male and Female) and gave their best in this new event.

The WKF President Mr. Antonio Espinos stated: “This new event was a great success, even greater than we expected to be. This was the first time we organised such an event for the Karate Youth were WKF has invested the future. The positive comments from all the participants and the delegations that attended the event helped to establish this camp on a yearly basis giving a golden opportunity to karate practitioners from around the globe to train and learn from the best. I would like to thank all the people who came in this camp, the organisers and the Hellenic Karate Federation for their valuable help and support in organising and making this event a great success.”
